Or, if you see certain flowers on our site from which you would like an arrangement made, please contact us for more information. Because many of our flowers are grown in the wild, we cannot guarantee all flowers will be available at the time of your request. We may have to wait until the next growing season when our supplies are available again.
Things we'll need if you're providing flowers for us to dry:
- Provide at least twice as many of each flower-type as you'll want in the final design. The reason for this is to ensure we get a good selection for pressing.
- Make sure the flowers you select are as newly developed as possible. The older the blossom is, the more likely it is that it won't press well. If your two specimens are a few days apart in development, pick the older blossom as soon as you can, put it in water and refrigerate it until the other blossom is ready.
- Contact us in advance of your flowers' peak blooming time so we can arrange to meet you and pick up the flowers.
Additional Information:
- From our experience, getting a true pink color for dried flowers is difficult. Pink flowers, when pressed, usually either fade to near-white or, surprisingly, darken to magenta. So far, Pink Snapdragons are about the only flower that retains its soft pink color. We are still trying other flowers, so maybe the list will grow.
- Because we hold down full-time jobs in addition to making these, strict time frames are hard for us to adhere to. Please allow four to six months for custom orders.
